X-TAON Art Car Contest
Textured with Substance Painter
Rendered with Arnold and Substance Painter
This was a texture contest held by Adobe as a promotion for the Substance Painter. The theme I’m going for was a futuristic sports car livary that has a hint of organic element to it with inspiration of the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion.
I also envisioned a future where Heads Up Display elements from video games will make it’s way into real life automotive tech. The idea of using screen displays in place of your infotainment center is a great step forward from your traditional single or double din car stereo head unit. But I felt that even with it placed higher in the dashboard, I still feel that it’s still very unsafe and a distraction from the driver. So in this concept I have the important informations could be directly be placed in front of the driver without the need of taking their eyes off the road. With the GPS assist navigation map in the center lower part of the window, and other elements such as turn by turn, speed, etc... in the front around the driver’s field of vision. It would make the driving experience less complicated.
