I was asked to do a quick lyric music video for Ms. Joyce Cheng for her new single that’s releasing soon. So the idea of having a lyrics only music video came up that’s to be release coincide with the release party.

The concept was to be very simple style with just a white background with a disc spinning like a vinyl record with the lyrics displayed on the other side.

I felt that with the theme of the song talking about the pain that one suffers without displaying it to the world, I wanted the font type to be square, strong, with bold straight strokes to compliment the strong lyrics.

The whole process took about 4 days from start to finish. I’m hoping that I did justice to conveying the emotional impact of each lyric sung by Ms. Joyce Cheng in a visual manner.
